Job Description
Senior Sales Executive growing Thomson Reuters’ legal software accounts across Dallas-area small law firms. Managing renewals, acquiring customers, demonstrating products, and meeting sales quotas.
Responsibilities:
- Retain and grow the existing account base and acquire new accounts within the assigned territory
- Manage approximately 800 accounts in 1–10 attorney-size firms
- Network and partner with customers by phone and in person to build confidence and develop win/win solutions
- Identify additional sales opportunities and navigate customer organizations
- Manage territory priorities, requirements, renewal opportunities, and sales opportunities
- Build trust and confidence with customer users, contacts, managers, and executives
- Collaborate with internal team partners to achieve goals
- Maintain deep knowledge of Thomson Reuters products, the legal profession, and legal publishing industry
- Attain monthly sales and renewal targets and quotas through customer visits and phone meetings
- Demonstrate Small Law products to customers
- Gather and provide territory market intelligence and penetration information
- Assist with customer-related issues, including collections and complaints
- Complete weekly sales performance reports and Salesforce.com reporting
- Attend sales meetings and conventions as required
Requirements:
- 5 years successful sales experience, including both telephone and field sales
- Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques
- Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation
- Excellent communication and closing skills
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to remain realistically positive in sales situations
- Able to work from a home office and travel to customer locations as needed
- Proficient database management skills
- Preferred: 4-year college degree or equivalent experience; JD a plus
- SaaS sales experience a plus
- Legal industry experience very helpful
