Job Description
Senior Security Specialist supporting SAIC’s defense and hypersonics mission. Developing security programs, classification guidance, training, access controls, and incident response.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a security program and provide recommendations and corrective actions
- Enforce policies for document and access controls, sensitive information and materials transmission, and related safeguards
- Generate and update security training packages, including OPSEC briefings
- Work with the Public Affairs Officer to review and clear documents for release
- Support and advise meetings and briefings for events
- Interpret participant program Security Classification Guides to provide security guidance to stakeholders
- Help develop the MACH-XL Security Classification Guide
- Provide security guidance and planning for flight test activities
- Review annual security training requirements
- Assist with maintenance and processing of Security Information Files
- Draft responses to inquiries, reports, letters, and related documents
- Process security documentation, access and identification credentials, and access-control records
- Handle security incidents
- Provide cyber security guidance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and ten years or more of related security experience
- Knowledge of DoD guidance on classified materials handling, destruction, storage, and CUI/S classification categories
- Prior security role for DoD; OSD or Navy preferred
- Experience with NISPOM and OPNAVAVINST 2221.5D
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills and customer-service orientation
- Ability to interface extensively with customers and stakeholders
- Experience writing SOPs, procedures, and processes
- Must be able to obtain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
- Familiarity with OUSD R&E Hypersonics for Military Systems and Applications Security Classification Guide is preferred
- Familiarity with Navy Conventional Prompt Strike SCG is preferred
- Cyber security background or technical experience is preferred
- Must have access to classified facilities near the candidate's location
