Job Description
Senior treasury associate managing cross-border payments, reconciliations, and settlements for Bamboo’s multi-currency financial platform. Supporting payment partnerships and transaction accuracy across Nigeria operations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish payment partnerships to support business expansion
- Develop and execute processes, standards, and guidelines for partnering organizations
- Collaborate with product leadership to design a payments strategy aligned with global scalability and local market needs
- Identify and leverage emerging trends, technologies, and partnership models to improve transactional efficiency and user trust
- Perform prompt, daily reconciliation of Misan by Bamboo transactions
- Investigate and recover unsettled transactions with partners
- Provide accurate data analysis to support strategic organizational decisions
- Liaise with Customer Experience and Engineering teams to resolve customer requests and disputes within SLA
- Monitor disputed transactions for possible fraudulent activity and report to Compliance
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to improve internal processes and create new customer products
- Prepare daily reconciliation summaries and structure journal entries with detail and accuracy
- Maintain relationships with banking and payment partners and ensure cooperation with partner obligations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent, preferably in accounting, finance, economics or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in cross-border payment processing and settlement reconciliations
- Proven cross-border or remittance experience in Settlement, Reconciliation & Chargeback, preferably within the fintech, banking, or payment industry
- At least 3 years of experience in digital financial services or banking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge of global payment and settlement transaction chains
- Excellent analytical, research, verbal, and written communication skills
- Adaptability to global operational needs and ability to work in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
