Job Description
Software Development Engineer in Test ensuring quality on UI and API layers at Akamai. Collaborating with teams to create scalable test solutions in a high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting manual and automated UI testing utilising tools such as Playwright (JavaScript).
- Testing REST APIs using Postman while writing SQL queries for accurate data validation
- Logging and managing defects via JIRA; maintaining documentation within Confluence.
- Collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams while supporting CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins.
- Demonstrating exceptional debugging skills, keen attention to detail, and eagerness to learn new tools.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate 12 of software testing experience with web applications and a Bachelor's in relevant field.
- Have hands-on experience in UI testing (manual and automated).
- Utilise test automation tools; experience with Playwright using JavaScript is highly advantageous.
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Have good working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Postgres and tools like SQL Developer.
- Be familiar with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
