Job Description
Senior full-stack engineer building scalable web applications and services for Zillow, a leading U.S. real estate platform. Driving architecture, reliability, and technical mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain full stack web applications and services across modern front-end frameworks, scalable back-end APIs, and data stores
- Lead design and implementation of complex features from concept through deployment
- Ensure performance, reliability, security, and maintainability
- Collaborate with product, design, data, and adjacent engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions
- Establish and advocate for engineering best practices in code quality, testing, observability, CI/CD, and incident response
- Mentor and provide technical guidance through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems using data and diagnostics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant work across both front-end and back-end web application development
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable services and user-facing features in a modern cloud environment
- Demonstrated experience collaborating in cross-functional, agile teams and influencing technical direction for complex projects
- Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
