Job Description
Software Engineer building React and Node.js interfaces for Accesa’s retail technology client. Developing accessible, performant frontend solutions with GraphQL, testing, and design systems.
Responsibilities:
- Build complex, responsive user interfaces using the project’s framework
- Write clean, testable code with unit and end-to-end tests
- Review peers’ code
- Shape component structure, state management, and API integration
- Optimize load times and rendering performance
- Ensure accessibility compliance and protect against XSS and similar security risks
- Deliver consistent behavior across browsers and devices
- Translate UX designs into working UI
- Align API contracts with backend teams
- Guide junior developers and share frontend best practices
Requirements:
- Strong experience with React
- Strong experience with TypeScript
- Strong experience with Node.js
- Strong experience with GraphQL
- Experience with CSS-in-JS (PandaCSS)
- Experience with components and design systems
- Experience with Storybook and shared frontend components
- Experience with Playwright and Jest
- Experience implementing and testing WCAG-aligned accessibility
- Experience with monorepos, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot
- Experience with Google Cloud
- Experience with Contentful headless CMS
- Experience with Optimizely for A/B testing
- Strong communication skills and proactive participation in discussions
- Independent and self-driven approach to work
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks and decisions
- Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly by structuring effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of final results
