Job Description
Senior Software Engineer owning full-stack React and TypeScript fintech platforms at Reap, a stablecoin-powered financial technology company. Improving cross-border payments, reliability, and customer-facing products.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full development lifecycle of features from conception through deployment and operation
- Build scalable, maintainable, and robust full-stack systems
- Develop customer-facing interfaces and the back-end services and APIs behind them
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive product development from concept to deployment
- Lead by example and improve engineering practices and quality
- Keep the technology stack modern by staying current with industry trends and technologies
- Improve the reliability and stability of production products with a large user base
- Ensure uninterrupted service
- Support team growth through resume screening and conducting interviews
Requirements:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience for senior candidates; strong mid-level engineers with 3+ years also considered
- Track record of owning and operating business-critical systems
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across the React ecosystem and TypeScript/NestJS services and APIs
- Experience deploying applications to cloud infrastructure
- Ability to deliver maintainable, well-tested, production-ready architecture and code
- Strong problem-solving skills, including attention to correctness, edge cases, and failure modes
- Experience working on brownfield projects
- Strong applied database skills: schema design, query writing and optimization, migration management, and performance analysis
- Experience with an ORM such as Prisma and PostgreSQL/Aurora
- Sound technical judgment and ability to balance technical depth with product understanding
- Clear communication and effective collaboration in peer reviews and cross-functional teams
- Preferred: experience or interest in fintech domains such as payments, card issuing, or exchanges
- Preferred: familiarity with React Native and publishing apps to app stores
- Preferred: active use of AI tools
- Preferred: experience in fast-paced teams or startups
