Job Description

Senior Software Engineer developing scalable applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server at Allstate. Leading architecture decisions and mentoring junior developers in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support scalable full-stack applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
  • Partner with product, design, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality features that meet user and business needs.
  • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions that improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop and optimize APIs, backend services, database queries, and stored procedures to support reliable application performance.
  • Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Review code, promote development standards, and help maintain high quality through testing and CI/CD practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Continuously evaluate tools, frameworks, and processes to improve team productivity and application quality.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing and supporting full-stack web applications in a production environment.
  • Strong proficiency with C#, .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web API, and Entity Framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Angular and solid front-end development skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies.
  • Strong database experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and query performance tuning.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Git, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, and agile software development practices.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, application security, performance optimization, and maintainable code practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and contribute as a senior-level engineering partner.
