Job Description
Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist providing clinical support to patients via telephonic interactions. Focus on medication therapy assessment and comprehensive care plans in a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Inbound/Outbound calls to members
- Review prescriptions for accuracy
- Check for drug-drug interactions
- Evaluate appropriateness of disease state, dosage, directions and therapy
- Utilize electronic resources and guidelines to assist in professional decision making
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD)
- Active Pharmacist license from the state of Florida, Texas, Ohio or Arizona Board of Pharmacy without restrictions or disciplinary action
- Minimum three, (3) years of experience as a pharmacist in a high-volume retail, hospital or mail order pharmacy practice environment
- Participate in Federal prescription programs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and OneNote
- Knowledge navigating multiple systems, platforms and troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties in a remote environment.
