Job Description
Principal Platform Product Manager designing incentive management and provider activation capabilities. Building Vatica Health’s value-based care platform with distributed engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own capability design and definition for incentive program management
- Design how programs are configured, performance is calculated and tracked, and results are communicated to providers
- Own capability design and definition for provider activation, including provider and practice onboarding, provisioning, and platform setup
- Design and document workflows, business rules, edge cases, and data requirements
- Manage delivery end-to-end by writing specifications, grooming the backlog, tracking progress, and unblocking engineering
- Work directly with engineers, providers, and practice staff to validate designs and solve real problems
- Operate effectively in ambiguity and identify undecided requirements
- Manage scope discussions with stakeholders from engineers to senior leadership
- Partner with globally distributed engineering teams, including regular early-morning collaboration with offshore teams
- Take on additional platform capability areas as assigned
Requirements:
- 6+ years in product management, with experience owning a capability or product area end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to define detailed product requirements and write build-ready specifications
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and making progress without a complete specification
- Hands-on mindset with details, workflows, and edge cases
- Experience working with globally distributed or offshore engineering teams and schedule flexibility
- Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare technology, particularly value-based care, risk adjustment, or quality measurement, including HEDIS or Stars
- Preferred: Experience with provider-facing onboarding, credentialing, or activation workflows
- Preferred: Experience in incentive, performance, or payment program design
