Job Description

Project Management Senior responsible for project initiatives across UAMS enterprise. Leading teams from concept through implementation with a focus on healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports portfolios & project initiatives related to the entire UAMS enterprise
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Defines project scope and objectives
  • Develops detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, test plans and status reports
  • Conducts project meeting and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Ensures adherence to quality standard and reviews project deliverables
  • Manages the integration of project tasks and tracks deliverables
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree plus 3 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
  • OR- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
  • OR- Associate's Degree, plus 7 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
  • OR- High School Diploma or GED plus 9 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
  • All also require at least five years’ of total combined experience in leading teams/projects
  • Able to work in MS Windows and client server environment; knowledge of information system software development standards and associated hardware resources
  • Either current with (or finished w/in 1st year of employment): PMI's PMP
  • Must be skilled at personal communication (both in writing & orally)
  • Must be competent at collaborating with others, facilitating meetings, and written communication
  • Must be thorough, detailed, and have excellent follow-through
  • Being highly organized is a must!
