Job Description
Project Management Senior responsible for project initiatives across UAMS enterprise. Leading teams from concept through implementation with a focus on healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Supports portfolios & project initiatives related to the entire UAMS enterprise
- Takes projects from original concept through final implementation
- Defines project scope and objectives
- Develops detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, test plans and status reports
- Conducts project meeting and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Ensures adherence to quality standard and reviews project deliverables
- Manages the integration of project tasks and tracks deliverables
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Master's Degree plus 3 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
- OR- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
- OR- Associate's Degree, plus 7 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
- OR- High School Diploma or GED plus 9 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two
- All also require at least five years’ of total combined experience in leading teams/projects
- Able to work in MS Windows and client server environment; knowledge of information system software development standards and associated hardware resources
- Either current with (or finished w/in 1st year of employment): PMI's PMP
- Must be skilled at personal communication (both in writing & orally)
- Must be competent at collaborating with others, facilitating meetings, and written communication
- Must be thorough, detailed, and have excellent follow-through
- Being highly organized is a must!
