Job Description
SEO and AI content specialist creating and optimising content for Pennylane, a French fintech serving European SMEs and accountants. Improving organic traffic, conversions and AI-search visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the SEO Manager and wider Growth team
- Use AI to accelerate research, outlining, first drafts and content optimisation while maintaining high editorial standards
- Design repeatable content workflows, including briefs, quality checklists, templates and editorial guidelines
- Scale content production without compromising relevance, accuracy or clarity
- Write, update and improve SEO content including articles, pillar pages and landing pages
- Turn search intent into clear, useful and well-structured content for Pennylane’s audiences
- Run content refreshes, consolidation, internal linking and on-page optimisation initiatives
- Collaborate with Growth stakeholders to support acquisition priorities
- Develop Pennylane’s GEO approach for AI-powered discovery tools
- Adapt content to improve Pennylane’s discoverability and accurate representation in AI search journeys
- Test content formats, structures and optimisation approaches for visibility in AI-generated answers
- Share learnings and contribute to the SEO and GEO playbook
- Monitor SEO signals including visibility, rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, organic traffic and conversions
- Translate data into actionable recommendations
- Run experiments, measure impact and iterate quickly and rigorously
Requirements:
- Initial, meaningful hands-on experience in SEO, ideally with published content that can be shared
- Fluent in French, with strong writing and editing skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Pragmatic, data-informed approach: form hypotheses, test them, measure outcomes and improve
- Uses AI tools in day-to-day workflow and is excited to deepen AI practice
- Sharp eye for structure, clarity, accuracy and editorial quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
- Familiarity with Meteoria, Profound, Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, Contentful and Notion
- Right to work in France; Pennylane cannot sponsor candidates for visas
