Job Description
Service Technician supporting Fastems automated manufacturing equipment at customer sites across the Northeastern U.S. Troubleshooting breakdowns, installations, and technical service solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide service support for Fastems equipment at customer sites in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
- Attend breakdowns and resolve customer challenges onsite
- Support installation of new capital equipment
- Act as communication liaison between customers, the Head of Service, and the service department
- Cooperate with office and administrative support to deliver service solutions
- Represent Fastems products and organization as a brand ambassador
- Assess complex technical requirements and advise customers on suitable solutions
- Deploy new business functions within the territory, including Service Cloud, ERP Roll Out, and OPU
- Ensure customer expectations are met and machinery service is delivered efficiently to maximize productivity and production goals
Requirements:
- Experience in field service with frequent overnight travel to customer sites for multiple days/nights
- Ability to operate in a high-precision production environment at customer sites
- Electro/mechanical fault finding from a service/maintenance environment
- Experience with CNC, robotics, and automation systems is desirable but not essential
- Academic qualifications or time-served experience backing up the skill set
- Computer literacy and knowledge of software and Windows-based systems
- Vocational experience in a service/maintenance role
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Professional, personable, customer-focused approach
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage workload independently
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites
