Job Description

Social Media & Content Marketing Manager shaping Fundamental's enterprise AI story across LinkedIn, X, blogs, and thought leadership. Growing audience engagement and preparing founders for media opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the content strategy across blogs and long-form content, building an editorial plan tied to product, research and company milestones
  • Ghostwrite for founders Jeremy and Gabriel on X and LinkedIn, capturing their voice and securing post approval
  • Own Fundamental's LinkedIn and X company accounts, including the content calendar and daily publishing
  • Turn technical research and product news into accessible content for customers and researchers
  • Use data to grow audience reach and engagement and report what is working
  • Pitch and prepare founders for podcasts, panels and other earned opportunities
  • Repurpose blogs, talks and research into posts, threads and talking points
  • Partner with marketing, product, research and sales to identify stories
  • Manage briefs, approvals and the content calendar
  • Use AI-assisted writing and workflow tools with human editing and fact-checking

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Around 5+ years' commercial experience in marketing, with ideally 3+ explicitly in a social media focused position
  • Exceptional writing and editing, with a portfolio of work in an executive or company voice
  • A proven record of running LinkedIn and X and growing engagement
  • Experience building content strategy beyond posting, such as blogs, long-form content and editorial planning
  • The ability to turn complex technical topics into clear, engaging content for a business audience
  • Experience with social scheduling and analytics tools, and reporting on performance
  • Working knowledge of CMS publishing and SEO basics
  • Strong judgement on tone and timing, and comfort working with senior leaders on what goes out under their name
  • The ability to work independently: you take a brief from idea to published without close direction, and stay organised across several projects
  • Based in the US and closely connected to the San Francisco and wider US tech scene
  • An ownership mentality: you want to be measured on outcomes, and you are energised by building something from the ground up
  • A humble, team-oriented attitude with a bias toward action and doing what is necessary to help the broader team win
  • Podcast and media outreach experience, including pitching and preparing leaders for appearances
  • Familiarity with technical subject matter such as AI, machine learning or enterprise software
  • Light design or video skills, such as Canva or short-form video editing
  • Experience measuring content impact beyond reach, such as inbound leads, pipeline influence or press coverage
  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company, or on an in-house technology team

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation with salary and equity
  • Comprehensive health coverage for you and your dependents, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents, inclusive of adoptive and surrogate journeys
  • Relocation support for employees moving to join the team in one of our office locations
  • A mission-driven, low-ego culture that values diversity of thought, ownership, and bias toward action
