Job Description
Multimedia Content Reviewer localizing and reviewing Spanish-language music, TV, app, and gaming content. Ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance for Latin American audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content while following style guides and guidelines
- Write copy for music, TV, app store apps, video-on-demand, and game subscription products
- Review own work and other localization team members' work across content types
- Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy
- Perform Localization QA testing on content published on live platforms
- Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, product and terminology trends, and localization practices
- Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics
- Report on data and assets across media and content types
- Review linguistic assessments and create training materials and documents for new projects
- Train localization counterparts on terminology, style, and best practices
- Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email on content review tasks, terminology, style, trends, market insights, and translations
Requirements:
- BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV and applications, with proof of writing samples
- Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
- Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand
- Wide range of knowledge of music artists, TV and cinema, gaming and pop culture
- Ability to own the language market and make confident linguistic decisions
- Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Fluency in written and verbal English
- Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus
- Ability to type in their native-level language using a local (English) keyboard
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
