Job Description
Search systems engineer discussing production, relevance, retrieval, and agentic search systems with Mercor. Completing a conversational interview focused on quality, evaluation, and tradeoffs.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 25-minute conversational interview
- Discuss search quality, evaluation, and tradeoffs in production search systems
- Share specific experiences and lessons from real-world search systems
- If selected, participate in a paid 30-minute live conversation with the team
Requirements:
- Production experience shipping search systems, especially agentic search systems
- Experience owning relevance or retrieval for systems used by real users
- Experience quantifying impact and improvements in search systems
- Experience building systems related to agentic search
- Experience scaling data infrastructure for modern search systems
- Ability to discuss search quality, evaluation, and tradeoffs made in real systems
- Must complete a 25-minute conversational interview
- No coding or take-home assignment required
Benefits:
- $200 paid on completion of a 30-minute live conversation if selected after the interview
