Job Description
Backend engineer building LLM-powered claims, remittance, denials, and document-extraction systems. Delivering Commure’s AI-native healthcare revenue-cycle platform for providers and administrators.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the technical direction of the RCM platform by proposing and implementing improvements to architecture, tools, and technologies
- Build end-to-end products to revolutionize revenue cycle management for providers and administrators
- Own end-to-end integration workflows from design and development through deployment and post-launch monitoring
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and healthcare teams to gather integration requirements, define technical approaches, and prioritize tasks
- Improve system reliability and observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices
- Optimize web application performance and scalability
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability and resilience of core functions
- Mentor and guide engineers
- Conduct code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements
- Ship production AI features for claims submission, remittance posting, denials and appeals, and document extraction
- Own the AI feature lifecycle from prompt design and evaluations through production infrastructure
- Partner with customers and internal operations teams to create auditable, AI-assisted workflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience
- 2+ years of professional software development industry experience
- Proficiency in frontend languages like Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Proficiency in backend languages like Python, Go, or C++
- Experience with Git, GCP / AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, and monitoring/alerting tools
- Proven track record of designing and implementing end-to-end solutions and making successful architectural decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Employees must comply with organizational information security policies and report confirmed or potential security events or risks
- Employees must attest to information security requirements upon hire and annually
