Job Description
Health Staff Writer creating engaging health content for Forbes Advisor in a fast-paced environment. Writing trending stories and collaborating with editors and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Write 2-3 helpful, accurate and engaging news and trend stories daily
- Work independently to pitch timely, high-impact stories each day
- Collaborate with fellow writers and editorial leadership
- Consistently publish high-performing content that drives traffic and engagement
- Work cross-functionally with compliance and editors
- Ensure all content adheres to AP Style and Forbes Health's style guide
- Leverage performance data and SEO best practices in story pitches
- Coordinate with the social team to maximize story reach
Requirements:
- Deep familiarity with the GLP-1 and CBD
- An established network of industry, medical and expert sources
- A strong portfolio demonstrating clear and accurate reporting
- A proven ability to translate complex health and medical topics
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable pivoting coverage in response to news trends
- Creative judgment that aligns with Forbes Health's editorial tone
- Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
