Job Description

State Licensed Appraisal Review Analyst reviewing real estate appraisals for Residential or Consumer loans. Corresponding with appraisers and providing evaluations and risk analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates 1-4 family real estate appraisals and valuations for Residential or Consumer loans
  • Corresponds with and follows up with appraisers for corrections, clarifications and edits
  • Evaluates appraisals of particularly complex or unusual properties
  • Performs semi-annual and/or quarterly real estate market updates for the region of responsibility
  • Assists loan officers, loan processors, underwriters and management by explaining valuation and appraisal issues
  • May visit properties in question to provide direct evaluation of property and assist with risk analysis
  • Reviews loans with a loan amount greater than $2MM
  • Reviews content, real estate market surveys, assumptions, and other aspects of appraisals and valuations applying significant industry knowledge and experience to determine adequacy, appropriateness, and reasonableness

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or progressive work experience
  • 3+ Years of related experience
  • State Certified Appraisers License (SRA and/or MAI or AI-RRS designation preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of residential real estate valuation methodology and techniques
  • In depth knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of residential real estate valuation
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills
  • Good leadership skills including the ability to coach and develop junior reviewers
  • Ability to manage workflow and adapt to changing conditions based on business objectives and priorities
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
