Job Description
Supplier Development Engineer focusing on continuous improvement and supplier readiness in a global supplier network. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic supply chain goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers to implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Conduct supplier audits, assess capabilities, and implement corrective actions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in supplier development, procurement, supply chain management, or manufacturing engineering
- Certifications such as SQM, SQE, SRE, or QMS preferred
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality systems, supply chain principles, and performance improvement methodologies
- Must be fully bilingual: English/Spanish
