Job Description
Technical Delivery Manager building AI-driven enterprise software for Legence, an engineering and consulting company. Leading engineers, enterprise integrations, stakeholder delivery, and hands-on production coding.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement services, integrations, automation, and prototypes hands-on
- Own architecture, build-vs-buy, tooling, and integration decisions
- Write production code, review pull requests, pair with engineers, and ship solutions
- Lead AI-driven development using coding assistants, agentic workflows, and LLM APIs
- Ensure solutions integrate with ERP/CRM, identity, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure
- Lead engineers day to day by setting direction, assigning ownership, and prioritizing high-value work
- Mentor and grow engineers through pairing, design discussions, and specific feedback
- Build engineering culture around code quality, testing, design debate, and shared ownership
- Participate in hiring, onboard engineers, and develop senior engineers into technical leaders
- Serve as the primary technical counterpart for business stakeholders and product owners
- Translate business goals into working solutions, prototypes, and demos
- Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs; push back constructively and propose alternatives
- Keep initiatives moving from scope through delivery with lightweight structure
- Remove blockers, coordinate dependencies across teams and vendors, and use meaningful delivery metrics
Requirements:
- 7+ years building software, including recent, sustained hands-on coding
- Strong command of at least one modern language, such as Python, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java
- Ability to design, build, debug, and ship production systems
- Demonstrated experience with AI-driven software development, including AI coding assistants, LLM APIs, prompt/context engineering, or AI-augmented features and workflows
- Experience with enterprise systems and integration patterns, including ERP/CRM platforms, REST/event-driven APIs, middleware, identity and access management, cloud platforms, and data pipelines
- Track record of leading delivery of enterprise software initiatives while remaining hands-on
- Experience leading and growing an engineering team or serving as a technical lead
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical decisions, negotiating scope, and mentoring engineers
- Working fluency with CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and iterative delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience in the built environment, energy, engineering services, or a related industry is preferred
- Familiarity with MCP, agentic AI systems, or deploying LLM-based features to production is preferred
- Hands-on integration experience with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise ecosystems is preferred
