Job Description
IT Project Manager leading technology projects for Cherry Bekaert’s accounting, tax, and advisory firm. Managing Agile and Waterfall delivery, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and project communications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, delivering agreed outcomes on time and within budget
- Translate business needs into project plans, roadmaps, milestones, budgets, and Agile sprint plans
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions
- Build relationships with stakeholders across matrixed teams and maintain clear, timely project communications
- Analyze business processes and recommend improvements that strengthen project delivery and operational efficiency
- Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and align stakeholders around priorities and next steps
- Introduce project management tools, methods, and process improvements that support project health and visibility
- Provide guidance and development support to team members
- Collaborate across the Firm’s service lines and departments
- Travel as required for project and business needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience managing projects of increasing complexity
- Demonstrated experience with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid project management approaches
- Experience translating business needs into structured project plans and engaging stakeholders throughout delivery
- Ability to navigate matrixed teams, competing priorities, project risks, and changing business needs
- Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing project metrics and reporting that provide insight into project health and delivery efficiency
- Working knowledge of software development life cycles, process modeling, networks, databases, and business intelligence tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jira, and Smartsheet preferred
- Experience introducing project delivery tools and process improvements in an enterprise environment preferred
- Ability to travel as required for project and business needs
- Eligibility to work in the United States
