Job Description
Technical Product Owner advancing Clubessential SaaS products, platform integrations, and AI capabilities at Xplor Technologies. Owning strategy, backlog, releases, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Own product direction and strategy for Clubessential products
- Ensure products meet customer, prospect, and internal stakeholder needs
- Monitor technological trends and the competitive landscape to drive innovation
- Identify and apply AI and automation opportunities to improve efficiency, personalization, and decision-making
- Advance strategic platform and AI initiatives, including MCP capabilities, Central Account Services integrations, shared platform products, and agentic experiences
- Create and groom the product backlog by writing and refining user stories aligned with product strategy and sprint goals
- Act as gatekeeper of the backlog and owner of the primary feedback loop for enhancements, issues, bugs, and tasks
- Escalate issues and communicate updates and resolutions to stakeholders
- Coordinate research and develop specifications and user stories satisfying business requirements
- Partner with engineering and data teams to define AI feature requirements, success metrics, and guardrails
- Provide feedback on resolution plans and prioritize bugs and enhancements
- Mitigate impediments affecting release and goal completion
- Participate in testing and release readiness
- Assist with configuration and communicate new feature availability in demo environments
- Liaise with development and internal teams on business rules and product behavior
- Assist with rollout, management, and feedback gathering
- Review educational and marketing materials
- Deliver product releases and assist with release notes and education efforts
- Develop launch plans with implementation, project management, support, marketing, sales, and customers
- Participate in webinars, shows, update meetings, and other product-success activities
- Lead, assist, or participate in Scrum ceremonies
- Perform other product-related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 3+ years’ work experience as product owner, business analyst or subject matter expert in SaaS software applications preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills across and outside the organization
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Experience with bug/issue/enhancement tracking and project management software
- Ability to prioritize, influence decisions and decision makers, and handle objections
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage numerous diverse projects and multitask
- Experience with JIRA, Productboard, Pendo, and/or Figma a plus
- Experience defining or shipping AI-powered product features, or working closely with data science/ML teams, a plus
- Comfortable evaluating AI tools and vendors, weighing capabilities and limitations, and translating them into clear customer value
- Hands-on experience writing AI skills, skill chains, or agentic workflows a plus
