Job Description
Technical Services Engineer leading commissioning, building automation, and energy conservation for ENFRA’s Energy-as-a-Service projects. Guiding complex system integration, optimization, standards, and technical team mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority and direction leader across all phases of the commissioning and development process
- Integrate unified energy management solutions across complex, multidisciplinary project scopes
- Provide technical focus and balance between project constraints and required outcomes for the Technical Services organization
- Identify gaps in project execution and establish standard operating procedures and company-wide standards to resolve systemic issues
- Inform significant business decisions while executing major project assignments
- Drive training, coaching, and mentorship frameworks across the Technical Services organization
- Handle highly complex system integrations, peer reviews, and advanced optimization of multi-system plants
- Support Energy-as-a-Service projects and the development and implementation of energy conservation measures for retro-commissioning activities
- Provide technical expertise across all phases of the commissioning process and collaborate with the engineer of record to optimize system performance
- Collaborate with project managers, energy managers, and Technical Services team managers to deliver energy and operational performance outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 10+ years of experience in engineering design, energy management, or retro commissioning
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Authoritative technical expertise in building systems, energy management, and commissioning standards
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of shaping standards and mentoring technical teams
- High-level capacity to inform strategic business decisions and resolve critical execution constraints
- 30-50% travel required
- Preferred: Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE
- Preferred: Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Preferred: Project experience in healthcare and higher education settings
- Preferred: Chilled Water, Heating Water, Steam, and Tower Water system project experience
- Preferred: Project experience with hydronic system distribution, including centralized and multi-plant system configurations
- Preferred: Building automation, controls, and systems integration project experience
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software
- Ability to perform physical activities including prolonged standing or sitting, climbing stairs, and repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
