Job Description
Test Engineer for CSG’s cloud-based digital BSS Ascendon Platform. Driving the development and execution of automated and manual tests for a range of APIs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and execution of automated and manual tests for a wide range of APIs
- Translate complex test scenarios into effective automated tests
- Create and execute manual tests, document test results, diagnose and create defects
- Identify data needed for tests, create new data or obtain existing data
- Perform functional, application, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Develop a deep understanding of our application to identify gaps and edge cases
- Work as part of a scrum team collaborating with developers, testers, and product owners
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployments and identify root causes of issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technically related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2-4 years’ work experience in a testing role
- Experience creating manual and automated tests
- Working knowledge of continuous integration, automated tools, industry standards, and best practices in test automation
- Experience testing web-based applications and API testing
- Experience with Bruno, Postman or SoapUI
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in software development a plus
- Ability to support on-call rotation
- Proficiency in English in a business environment
