Job Description
Virtual CTE technology teacher delivering live, data-informed instruction through Edmentum’s educational technology platform. Supporting students and families in a remote classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours per day every scheduled instructional day
- Create an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience
- Use student performance data to personalize instruction and identify learning gaps
- Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work
- Maintain accurate records to keep students and families informed and on track
- Build relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication
- Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality student support
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Active state teaching license in Texas and/or Pennsylvania in CTE-Technology grades 6-12
- Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings
- Comfortable with the demands of a live online classroom
- Ability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours per day every instructional day
- Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software
- Ability to read student performance data and use it to adjust instruction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and self-directed, with time management skills to manage a full student caseload remotely
- Commitment to professional growth, maintaining certification, and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices
- Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs
