Job Description
Virtual teacher tutoring K–12 students receiving behavioral-health treatment. Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support, especially in high-school math and science.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual tutoring to child and adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment in behavioral health facilities
- Provide academic support in 1:1 and small-group settings
- Act as an aide by guiding students through educational material
- Ensure students’ academic success
- Assist with K–12 core subjects, particularly high school math and science
- Help students continue their education during treatment and successfully reintegrate into the classroom
Requirements:
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Massachusetts teaching license
- Comfortable working with middle and high school students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs, especially high school math and science
- Reliable internet connection
- Working computer
- Distraction-free workspace
- Consistent availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST
- Minimum commitment of 12.5 hours per week
