Job Description
Water Project Manager delivering compliant potable water infrastructure for UK utility communities. Managing budgets, contractors, asset handover and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Water Projects are delivered according to Leep’s current process and documented procedures
- Ensure assigned project design activity is completed by accredited third parties and properly logged and reported in line with Guaranteed Standards of Performance (GSOP)
- Manage each project within the capital budget and ensure compliance with financial, commercial, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain financial controls, including purchase order management, invoice review, and variance reporting
- Conduct regular audits of sites and partners and manage issues or defects through resolution
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless asset handover, complete documentation and contracts, and compliant installation, pre-water commissioning, and testing
- Provide operational support to the Senior Water Project Manager and Head of Project Delivery on site enquiries or escalations
- Ensure assets are delivered to best industry standards
- Act as the single point of contact for customers and stakeholders through post-sales and pre-adoption stages
- Support programme forecasting, financial control, subcontractor management, and defect resolution
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience of working in Project Management or Team Supervision capacity within a SLP or Water Company
- Demonstrable experience of the design and construction of potable water infrastructure
- A good working knowledge of the Water Industry NAV process
- Excellent knowledge of multi utility industry asset standards such as NJUG
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience of developing and managing personnel
- Financial acumen and a track record of adhering to budgets
- Working knowledge of H&S management and audits
- An understanding of water regulatory standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them
- Expert knowledge of asset adoption and delivery legal documentation requirements
- Strong computer and reporting skills
