Job Description

Accounting Assistant at Shinesty responsible for accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with accounting data entry. Collaborating with various departments to maintain financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • AP invoice entry, including matching purchase order pricing and item receipt quantities to vendor bills and coding expenses to the correct GL
  • AP vendor record setup and maintenance
  • AP payment processing including checks, ACH, wires, credit card payments
  • AP credit card management, including maintaining receipt records and coding expenses to the correct GL
  • AR customer invoicing
  • AR customer inquiry assistance
  • Matching order transaction to payment data
  • Month close assistance, including running reports and maintaining various schedules

Requirements:

  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Great attention to detail
  • Proven experience with data entry
  • Proven experience with accounts payable and receivable
  • General understanding of GL accounting related to AP & AR
  • Experience with transaction matching
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP system
  • Experience working in a team (across multiple departments outside of accounting preferred)
  • Accounting training/education preferred
