Job Description

Accounts Receivable Specialist managing invoicing and collections for a U.S.-based manufacturing organization. Ensuring financial accuracy and supporting cash flow in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit cards) to the correct accounts
  • Resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied credits
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account status
  • Maintain accurate AR records in the accounting system
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to receivables
  • Reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger
  • Support audits and provide AR documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and collection efficiency
  • Help maintain clear documentation of billing and AR procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Receivable Specialist
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and basic accounting principles
  • Experience working with invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare, B2B, or service-based industries
  • Familiarity with hospital or large institutional billing processes
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working with U.S.-based customers
