Job Description
Accreditation reviewer helping healthcare facilities earn cardiovascular certifications from the American College of Cardiology. Conducting site reviews, analyzing compliance, and reporting improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site or video site reviews at facilities requesting ACC Accreditation Services to assess compliance with accreditation tools
- Engage in interactive dialogue with healthcare organizations to assess gaps and areas for improvement
- Advise facilities on accreditation requirements and facilitate their success
- Review submitted accreditation materials for completeness and compliance with essential component requirements
- Present at professional trade shows and educate the public and professionals about accreditation benefits
- Coordinate site reviews and obtain additional documentation as needed
- Prepare summary reports for the Accreditation Review Committee and reviewed facilities, including findings, decisions, and improvement opportunities
- Support research projects, committee development, and development of site review criteria as assigned
- Collaborate with team members to uphold the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services
- Attend mandatory review-staff training sessions
- Maintain confidentiality of healthcare-entity information
- Steward organizational funds as a nonprofit serving the public and healthcare entities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Five years’ healthcare experience in acute care, pre-hospital emergency care, nursing, research, Cardiac Cath Lab, Transcatheter Valve, Electrophysiology services, or another cardiovascular-related medical field
- Active licensure for the stated area of practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional and integral representation of ACC Accreditation Services
- Basic knowledge of relevant services and current best-practice standards; expected to develop expertise after employment
- Basic knowledge of performance improvement activities and metrics
- Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email
- Ability to critically analyze data and articulate findings to healthcare facilities
- High-speed internet connection and work environment supporting online meeting venues
- Ability to travel up to 80% and work evenings or weekends as required for site reviews or trade shows
- Ability to travel by aircraft and lift/carry luggage up to 75 pounds
- Ability to drive a car
- Ability to work in settings where infectious diseases may be present
- Process improvement background, preferred
- CPHQ certification, preferred
