Job Description

Actuarial Analyst building predictive models and delivering pricing analysis for Everywhen’s specialist insurance products. Collaborating with underwriters, claims, and business teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build technically sound predictive models to identify underlying drivers of claims’ cost using GLMs and GBMs
  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims, reserving, and other business stakeholders to understand the commercial context of analysis
  • Build relationships and act as a dependable contact for internal and external customers
  • Deliver work to agreed deadlines and required accuracy standards
  • Organise impact analyses to assess proposed modelling changes
  • Finalise statements concerning aggregation of risk, such as flood exposure by postcode mapping
  • Process, reconcile, clean, and prepare data for actuarial investigation
  • Develop knowledge and skills through agreed training and keep current with technical, legal, and market developments
  • Maintain data quality and comply with relevant governance requirements
  • Deliver pricing projects and actuarial analysis for senior management and insurer partners

Requirements:

  • Minimum grade B at A-level Mathematics or equivalent
  • Strong statistical knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with programming in R, Python, SQL, or actuarial software is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, responsive environment
  • Passion for innovation in insurance pricing
