Job Description

Actuarial Consultant supporting rate analyses, reserve studies, and filings for Perr&Knight’s insurance consulting clients. Remote or hybrid across selected U.S. states.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a Consulting Actuary in completing actuarial and consulting projects for insurance companies and self-insureds
  • Prepare rate level indications
  • Complete class plan analyses
  • Perform competitive research
  • Complete benchmarking analyses
  • Provide rate/rule filing support
  • Conduct reserve analyses
  • Conduct self-insured retention analyses and funding studies
  • Update reserve studies for new or additional years of data
  • Perform technical reviews of formulas and data entry
  • Extract and summarize annual statement data
  • Complete actuarial transmittal forms in all US jurisdictions for rate and rule filings

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited university
  • At least 1 Actuarial Exam
  • At least 1 year working in the Property/Casualty industry
  • Excellent Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Access and SQL
  • Oral and written communication skills
