Job Description
Remote Advanced Practice Registered Nurse treating Hawaii patients with substance use disorder. Assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, and counseling through addiction medicine care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to individuals struggling with substance use and addiction
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications
- Offer counseling and therapy
- Work as an on-call APRN Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Provide remote healthcare services focused on addiction medicine and substance use disorder
Requirements:
- Applicants must reside in Hawaii
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on substance abuse or psychiatric-mental health nursing
- Current, unencumbered APRN-Rx license in the state of Hawaii
- Clinical experience in addiction medicine or psychiatric-mental health nursing
- Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, including pharmacology, withdrawal management, and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to connect with and support individuals struggling with addiction
- Ability to assess complex situations, develop appropriate treatment plans, and adapt to changing patient needs
- Current Board Certification as a Certified Addiction Registered Nurse — Advanced Practice (CARN-AP), or other nationally recognized board certification center is preferred
- Preferred certification may be obtained by the start date if selected
