Job Description
AI Software Developer building C++ coding agents and developer automation for CorelDRAW. Corel creates creative, collaborative, and productivity software used by millions worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents supporting planning, coding, code review, testing, and debugging in the CorelDRAW C++ codebase
- Identify repetitive or time-consuming developer workflows and turn them into agent-driven automation
- Build tooling connecting agents with MCP servers, Gerrit, Visual Studio, VS Code, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking
- Develop context and retrieval strategies for a large, complex C++ codebase
- Create evaluation frameworks and benchmarks for agent quality, reliability, and developer productivity impact
- Establish guardrails, human-in-the-loop review processes, and security practices
- Contribute hands-on to CorelDRAW features in C++
- Champion agentic development through best-practice sharing, documentation, demos, and coaching
- Participate in scrum meetings and peer review code in Gerrit
Requirements:
- Significant hands-on experience coding in modern C++ (C++17/20/23)
- Deep understanding of real-world C++ development, production systems, maintainable code, and large, complex codebases
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered agents, ideally with Claude API, Claude Agent SDK, comparable agent frameworks, or LLM APIs
- Practical understanding of agent design, tool use and function calling, prompt and context engineering, multi-step planning, memory, and multi-agent orchestration
- Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Visual Studio, and VS Code
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript
- Working knowledge of C++ build systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Visual Studio and code review workflows in Gerrit
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to explain AI concepts to developers of all experience levels and drive adoption across a team
- Strong time management and self-management skills
