Job Description
Freelance contributor recording native French (Cameroon) speech for RWS AI evaluation projects. Completing accurate, natural voice recordings through a flexible remote platform.
Responsibilities:
- Read approximately 640 provided text cards aloud and record them exactly as written
- Produce clear, natural, high-quality speech recordings according to provided guidelines
- Speak using your natural dialect and accent
- Ensure no words are added, omitted, or altered
- Re-record submissions if requested to meet quality standards
- Complete tasks using the internal recording platform
- Provide voice recordings to support evaluation, research, development, testing, and improvement of AI systems
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in French (Cameroon)
- Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target dialect or accent through everyday use
- Advanced level of English to understand written instructions
- Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify language variant and accent
- Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own
- Experience with speech recording projects is an advantage, but not required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain recording accuracy
- Quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise
- Computer microphone or headset with microphone
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to access and use an online recording platform
