Job Description
Remote ASL Interpreter providing one-on-one school-based support for students. Facilitating classroom communication and curriculum access throughout the school day for Ampersand Therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team
- Provide interpreting services in ASL throughout the school day
Requirements:
- Proof of EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- EIPA Written Test required, or willingness to schedule and complete the test within the upcoming year
- American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting skills
- Ability to provide direct one-on-one interpretation throughout the school day
- Ability to work Monday-Friday
