Job Description
Remote Cantonese interpreter providing consecutive over-the-phone services for Reviver Global. Bridging Cantonese-English communication across calls, meetings, conferences, and interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Provide consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and other over-the-phone situations
- Listen carefully to the source-language speaker and accurately convey the message in the target language
- Bridge language gaps and ensure clarity and understanding
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout interpretation
- Respect HIPAA and follow Reviver’s protocols, policies, and applicable industry best practices
- Interpret Cantonese and English as required for the role
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience or 3000 hours of active interpretation
- Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages)
- Proof of English language proficiency with a “technical proficiency” on the national ILR rating or equivalent
- Completion of Mock Call assessment with passing score
- Updated resume showing relevant interpretation experience
- Criminal background check in English
- Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments, including a headset, stable internet, and laptop
- Respect HIPAA and comply with Reviver’s protocols, policies, and clients’ industry best practices
