Job Description

AML/FCC Specialist supporting sanctions screening, regulatory controls, and investigations for Sia Partners, a global management consulting group. Partnering with banking, fintech, and payment clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support consistent execution of the firm’s sanctions policy across business units and compliance functions
  • Anticipate regulatory shifts and build risk-calibrated controls and workflows
  • Track evolving sanctions and anti-money-laundering requirements worldwide and adjust internal controls
  • Review escalated customer and transaction alerts flagged as possible sanctions-list hits and close cases within agreed turnaround times
  • Serve as the resource for sanctions-related questions from client-facing, commercial, and operational teams
  • Author and maintain sanctions-program policies and procedures
  • Build and deliver targeted sanctions training
  • Partner with risk assessment functions to refine sanctions risk assessments
  • Perform one-off due-diligence assignments
  • Support responses to regulatory exams, inquiries, and internal audits, including document collection and production
  • Track and communicate sanctions-compliance metrics and reporting to leadership
  • Work closely with client compliance and legal teams on AML/FCC initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field
  • At least 5 years of AML/FCC experience, particularly with Banking, Fintech, Payment clients
  • Client-facing experience is preferred
  • AML certification is an advantage
  • Solid grasp of regulations, rules, and accepted industry practices governing economic sanctions
  • Hands-on experience configuring customer and transaction screening tools and running the alert-review process
  • Solid project-management fundamentals
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger global effort
  • Sharp analytical instincts and a track record of turning problems into workable recommendations
