Job Description
Antivirals Field Medical Director role at Pfizer providing expertise across a therapeutic area. Engaging with external stakeholders while executing independent medical strategy for improved patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic area/product expertise for designated area across external medical stakeholders.
- Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and engagement for assigned external medical stakeholders.
- Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant topics.
- Educate external medical stakeholders based on patient care gaps aligning with medical strategy.
- Collaborate with internal Pfizer colleagues to understand outcomes of interest.
- Cultivate research and therapeutic area expertise including familiarity with latest congress data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science required.
- PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree (e.g., Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy) highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience for PharmD/PhD, 7+ years for MBA/MSc, 8+ years for BA/BSc.
- Experience in Hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology a plus.
- Subject matter expert in vaccines and/or antivirals recognized across internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal external medical stakeholders’ demands.
- Ability to lead and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with health information technology and optimization/customization of EHR platforms is preferred.
