Job Description
Application Analyst responsible for application implementation, enhancement, and support through analysis, development, and ongoing user assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the performance of tasks related to application implementation, adoption, enhancement, and support
- Develops a strong understanding of assigned application(s)
- Meets with relevant personnel to perform data collection through discussions, workflow observations and document review
- Develops an understanding of best practice workflows
- Identifies opportunities to modify current state workflows to increase efficiency or effectiveness
- Produces documentation including current and future state workflows, pros/cons, gap analysis, needs assessments, design specifications, build documentation, test plans, project plans, status reports and transitionary documentation
- Performs application testing including unit and scenario-based testing
- Learns to apply critical thinking to problem solving and strives to understand the root cause of the issue
- Communicates effectively with peers, informaticians, stakeholders, project teams, and leadership
- Provides regular updates regarding work status via standard documentation tools and/or huddles, meetings, etc.
- Completes system build and documentation in accordance with department guidelines and in adherence to change management policy
- Actively participates in meetings by being an engaged listener and offering both feedback and input
- Prepares training material and conducts training classes in either virtual or in-person settings
- Participates in team on-call rotation to provide 24x7x365 support to assigned areas
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience*
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
- Application support & maintenance
- Root cause analysis
- Understanding of basic business functions
- Understanding of application deployment and management tools (SCCM/Group Policy)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows OS
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite
- Prior experience using ServiceNow
- Knowledge of SQL (preferred)
