Job Description

Staff Analyst focusing on product analytics at Hims & Hers, leveraging data for customer experience. Collaborating across teams to implement best-in-class analytics and experimentation approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic partnership to your product stakeholders, influencing roadmap decisions with data-driven insights
  • Own the experimentation strategy for your product team, including test design, success metrics, sample-size estimation, guardrails, and results interpretation
  • Work cross-functionally to define tracking requirements and ensure data integrity; lead analytics instrumentation
  • Design intuitive dashboards in Looker that democratize data and elevate data self-service capabilities
  • Create and maintain KPI frameworks and measurement plans for new features and initiatives
  • Champion data quality, documentation, and deliverable consistency, serving as a mentor to junior analysts
  • Identify causal relationships using advanced statistical modeling, quasi-experimental methods, and predictive modeling
  • Segment users based on demographic, behavioral, and psychographic attributes to tailor product experiences and lifecycle communications
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to answer strategic business questions, quantify opportunities, and recommend clear actions

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests in a product environment
  • Experience working with subscription-based business models and metrics
  • Extensive experience working with data engineering teams and production data pipelines
  • Experience in data modeling and statistics; strong knowledge of experimental design + statistical inference
  • Expert SQL skills
  • Advanced experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Experience programming in Python, SAS, or R
  • Development and training of predictive models
  • Ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences, both peers and executives
  • Experience to shaping and influencing product strategy; not just executing analyses
  • A strong work ethic and proactive mindset; understanding a problem in detail and owning the resolution
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage long-term projects from end to end
