Job Description
Application Engineer managing installations, performance optimization, and incident response for digital systems. Ensuring stability and compliance for business-critical applications in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and updates of applications on servers (Windows/Linux)
- Monitoring systems and early detection of issues
- Application-level access management: administration of roles and permissions specifically for application users
- Performance tuning: analysis and optimization of SQL queries, index design, execution plans, and query performance
- Ensuring high system availability (uptime)
- Incident management – rapid response to outages and development of emergency procedures
- Implementation of security policies, patch management, access controls, and identity management
Requirements:
- Some professional experience in application management
- Independent and structured working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Conscientiousness and a strong sense of responsibility
- Proactive thinking and initiative
- Fluent German language skills
