Job Description
Backend Developer with expertise in Laravel and AWS for scalable web applications in a remote setup. Seeking a driven individual to design and maintain high-performance backend systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and ensure proper documentation using tools like Postman
- Develop backend solutions using Laravel (v8 or later) and manage database performance
- Optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and system performance
- Integrate third-party services such as Stripe API
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, including unit tests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently
- Support deployment and server setup using DigitalOcean or AWS
Requirements:
- Strong track record in IT or software development, with experience in web or mobile applications
- Demonstrates a high level of drive, ambition, and work ethic, with a continuous desire to improve
- Proven ability to take ownership and deliver high-quality outputs
- Experience as a Developer, Engineer, or Product Manager is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Strong experience with Laravel (v8 or later) and the Laravel ecosystem
- Solid understanding of SQL schema design and SOLID principles
- Experience with MySQL optimization and performance profiling
- Strong knowledge of scalable architecture and backend design patterns
- Experience developing and documenting RESTful APIs using Postman
- Proficient in Git for version control and collaboration
- Experience writing unit tests and building testable, maintainable code
- Hands-on experience with Stripe API and documentation
- Familiarity with Nuxt.js and frontend-backend integration
