Job Description
Application Consultant improving utility clients’ operations through Cayenta enterprise software. Leading implementation, business analysis, configuration, testing, training, and change management remotely across Canada and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Work with colleagues and managers to proactively manage technology solutions for clients
- Support existing and new clients by leading them through processes, resolving issues, and ensuring successful product utilization
- Train users in system setup, administration, and maintenance
- Perform business analysis, gap analysis, root cause analysis, business process reviews, documentation, and requirements elicitation
- Understand client business processes and configure applications based on business needs and accepted best practices
- Own user acceptance testing and change management processes
- Create user documentation and complete handover documentation for support staff
- Build client capabilities and identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services
- Support Project Managers with engagement contracts, bottleneck escalation, and project progress updates
- Deliver services efficiently to meet project milestones and resource utilization goals
- Provide subject matter expertise to R&D and operational groups on client needs, business practices, market trends, and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Utility customer (meter to cash) life cycle knowledge
- Utility Customer Information System (CIS) processes and functionality knowledge
- Strong influencing, coaching, and written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization
- Experience working with both business and IT groups
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within North America
- Current, valid passport
- Legally eligible to travel internationally
- Passport-based visa exemption or required travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean
- Preferred experience providing software implementation to the utility sector
- Knowledge of SQL and experience in system configuration are helpful
