Job Description

AVP leading equipment finance operations, financial governance, and systems strategy at Stearns Bank. Managing budgets, reporting, data integrity, and strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for EFD finance and operations functions
  • Lead strategic direction and continuous efficiency improvements, including system specifications and security
  • Identify operational risks, implement controls, and ensure audit readiness
  • Serve on the EFD Leadership Committee overseeing strategic direction, operational performance, systems strategy, and risk management
  • Own core EFD systems, including configuration, workflows, permissions, integrations, and data flows
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, new module implementations, transformational initiatives, and cross-functional workstreams
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and key risk indicators
  • Partner with development teams to enhance Salesforce, Aspire, and .NET options
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the EFD budget and present it to the EFD Leadership Committee
  • Lead annual budget creation and ongoing financial management for each business unit
  • Own business-within-a-business reporting, KPIs, profitability analysis, and forecasting
  • Build and maintain pro formas for new products, industries, pricing structures, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop forecasts and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions and growth planning
  • Mentor and develop professionals in finance, operations, and core systems
  • Lead performance management, staffing, talent development, and cross-training
  • Lead strategic meetings with executives, team leaders, and business partners
  • Communicate KPIs, KRIs, challenges, and solutions to senior management
  • Present to senior leaders and large internal groups

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance from a four-year college or university
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven experience with workflow optimization, budget ownership, fee process discipline, and KPI-driven management
  • Strong expertise in core systems, data flows, and system integrations
  • Ability to translate business strategy into operational, financial, and system requirements
  • Strong knowledge of equipment finance
  • Literacy in English
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform the listed physical requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
