Job Description

BIM/VDC piping lead modeling and coordinating mechanical and plumbing systems for ENFRA’s energy infrastructure projects. Delivering fabrication, installation, and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Model specific or multiple systems/disciplines
  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective shop drawings supporting fabrication and installation
  • Oversee 3D modeling and coordination across assigned projects
  • Read specifications and contract documents and establish project execution plans within BIM budgets
  • Produce annotated installation and layout drawings for mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Identify routing efficiencies
  • Communicate execution plans to BIM/VDC team members and outsourcing partners
  • Perform quality control on project deliverables
  • Lead clash detection, embedded data, industry coordination, and collaboration efforts
  • Ensure assisting BIM/VDC personnel follow departmental protocols
  • Manage models and drawings throughout the project lifecycle, including linked-file updates
  • Troubleshoot issues associated with daily tasks
  • Review subcontractor budgets for project-specific tasks
  • Schedule Trimble layout drawings, shop drawings, BOMs, fabrication drawings, and as-builts
  • Adhere to departmental ethics and represent the company professionally

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in BIM MEP processes
  • Advanced building systems, code, fabrication, and installation knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Fabrication, and Bluebeam
  • Complete understanding of the BIM/VDC process
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Industry and competitor knowledge
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
  • Preferred: experience leading a small team of 2 or 3 BIM professionals
  • Must travel to job sites/office locations approximately 5% of the time
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods
  • Able to climb stairs and remain stationary, kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Able to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
  • Able to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
