Job Description
AI builders develop real projects using provided coding models in recorded OpenCode sessions. Mercor’s AI research partnership welcomes experienced developers and non-coders.
Responsibilities:
- Build or improve your own real project using the provided open-weight and Gemini models
- Choose which model to use for each task and switch models naturally when appropriate
- Use one chat per task
- Work in OpenCode, a terminal-based coding assistant, while each session is recorded
Requirements:
- Actively building a real project, such as a side project, startup, app, or LLM-powered feature
- Uses AI tools to build, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Cline, Replit, or Lovable
- Comfortable following simple terminal setup steps on Mac or Linux
- Professional coding experience is welcome but not required
- Non-coders who build with AI are encouraged to apply
Benefits:
