Job Description
Change Order Manager preparing clinical-trial budgets and contract documents for Precision Medicine Group. Analyzing financial impacts and coordinating change orders with project teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead change order budget creation activities among project management, functional leads, and financial analysts
- Develop, explain, and provide variance analysis for change orders for client presentation
- Track and maintain change order requests to develop departmental metrics
- Participate in internal and client calls
- Collaborate with project management, financial analysts, functional leads, and other contributors to produce accurate, timely change orders
- Review budget assumption changes and identify information gaps, discrepancies, and unique service requirements
- Communicate with project teams and stakeholders to support timely and accurate change order delivery
- Schedule and lead change order alignment calls
- Prepare, edit, and customize change order text covering strategic messaging, assumptions, budget summaries, resourcing changes, and financial requirements
- Incorporate vendor and partner change orders into the main change order
- Verify accuracy of assumptions, processes, executed-agreement changes, resourcing updates, timeline shifts, and country/site/patient changes
- Apply financial formulas, cross-checks, formula reviews, and reasonable testing
- Travel minimally
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, finance/accounting, or a related business field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in proposal and/or change order preparation using an Excel-based costing tool and preparation of change order/contract documents
- Working knowledge of project budgets and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Working knowledge of the clinical-trial project lifecycle and how assumption changes affect costing, budgets, and financial impact
- Strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills
- Strong financial skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments with varying tasks
- Ability to learn quickly
- Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships throughout the organization
- Ability to work and plan independently and in a team environment
- MBA preferred
- Experience in the CRO industry preferred
