Job Description
Chef Manager preparing nutritious school meals at Park Lane Infant School for Caterlink, an education-sector catering specialist. Supervising teams, budgets, food safety and client service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards
- Ensure the location meets statutory and company Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental requirements
- Maintain and enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service
- Run the location day to day and supervise teams
- Manage inventories, monitor budgets and implement action plans
- Act as the main point of contact for the school client
- Recommend and implement adjustments and improvements
- Communicate with the line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
- Support and train teams, ensure training completion and manage performance
Requirements:
- Experience and/or ability to prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards
- Compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures
- Supervisory and team management capability
- Ability to manage inventories, monitor budgets and implement action plans
- Ability to communicate with the client and line manager and monitor KPIs and financial targets
- Ability to support and train teams and manage performance
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
- Enhanced DBS disclosure required for the role
